Garden of Eatin

Temperature Data Line Graphs

Our garden produces food. We harvest the food and bring it into our kitchen. We process the food and eat it raw or we use it in recipes.

Current projects (guided by Chat GPT with photos by Adobe Firefly)

For two raised garden beds that will be happy next to each other in Morro Bay and planted in the spring, you could consider the following combinations:

1. Bed 1:

Tomatoes and Basil: Tomatoes and basil are great companions in the garden. Tomatoes provide some shade for basil, while basil can help repel pests that might bother tomatoes.

2. Bed 2:

Zucchini and Nasturtiums: Zucchini plants can sprawl out, so they’ll appreciate the space in a raised bed. Nasturtiums are excellent companion plants for zucchini, as they can help repel pests and attract beneficial insects.

These combinations not only work well together in terms of growing conditions but also complement each other in terms of pest control and aesthetics. Just make sure to provide adequate spacing between plants and proper soil preparation for optimal growth.

The local Miners had all 4 of these plants 🌱.

Next we need to pull weeds all throughout the garden.

Future projects

  •  we will draft plans for new planter boxes.
  • We are also building a wall of succulents to help beautify the campus, provide privacy in the garden, and help block the noise from the freeway.
  • We have a live camera stream in our garden that we built with a Raspberry Pi. You can view our stream here.
